Chroma Film Festival is a three day experience immersing viewers in the color of cinema. The movies have been selected so that each day has a dedicated color scheme and overall mood. By showcasing films that emphasize color and cinematography, Chroma Film Festival hopes to push viewers further into the color in cinema.

Chroma Film Festival aims to immerse viewers in the color of cinema. It is a three day experience showcasing films that range in color and genre. By altering the lighting in the theater, Chroma Film Festival is able to create an ambiance that mimics that of the film. Each day of the festival has a dedicated color scheme. Friday’s films are red, fiery, suspenseful, and full of emotion. Some of these films include Suspiria, X, and Pearl. On the opposite side of the color wheel is Saturday’s theme, green and blue. These films are chilling, somber, and restorative. An example is the A24 film, Moonlight. Sunday presents a lighter atmosphere by showing films with a muted color palette. The film, Emma, sums up Sunday’s theme perfectly—navigating personal relationships. Each day provides different experience for viewers.
